Here is an excellent article from One Peter Five, explaining some pre-conciliar history behind the Octave of Easter, especially the tradition of “Sabbato in Albis”, or “White Saturday”, which was celebrated today, Easter Saturday. We have lost or abandoned so many wonderful practices that once helped to sustain our Faith, it’s little wonder that the number of the faithful continues to shrink. Here is one that any parish could revive if desired.
